The Gstaad Palace Hotel effortlessly combines old world sophistication and glamour with modern convenience and comfort boasting breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps from the 104 tastefully decorated suites.
One of the last family-run Grand Hotels of Switzerland owned by the Scherz family, Gstaad Palace boasts an impressive history and has welcomed the most discerning international clientele over the years. Having opened in 1913, the building was ahead of its time with 150 rooms already with 50 private bathrooms, electrical heating and 6 telephone booths throughout the hotel. Over the years the entire hotel has been refurbished with more bathrooms added and technical systems modernized, and now regularly plays host to Hollywood celebrities included John Travolta and Julie Andrews.
The hotel boasts a number of exclusive Spa facilities including a unique hammam experience and is known for its authenticity and elegance. It spreads over 1800m2 and includes eight treatment rooms, a private spa suite, saunas and steam baths, relaxation areas, indoor and outdoor pools with Jacuzzis, a state of the art gym and a Pilates studio. To further enhance the “mountain feeling” of the spa, Gstaad Palace built a 60 meter long wall with granite from the nearby Blausee region in the Bernese Oberland, using 50 tons of rock to create an architectural showstopper.
Finally, the hotel takes pride in offering the latest culinary delights using gastronomic traditions, offering dishes to satisfy all discerning palates and occasions, be it a formal dinner or a casual lunch. Guests can enjoy a bite to eat out in the sun thanks to the Snack and Barbecue restaurant located one step away from the indoor pool, or alternatively they can enjoy an array of international cuisine and wine pairings at Le Grill Rôtisserie.
