Set in the Margaret River region of SW Australia, Villa Gris is a micro-hotel with views stretching over vineyards to the Indian Ocean. The unique concept is now available for exclusive fully serviced private stays, ideal for groups who want the experience of a 5* hotel with the intimacy of a private villa.
The luxurious hotel is set among five acres of ancient Jarrah, Red Gum, grass tress and peppermint trees while sitting on the edge of a national park. As well as this, the hotel is within close proximity to world class surf beaches and award winning wineries, providing something for everyone.
Uncompromising in its modernity, the building is designed as a simple rectilinear ‘bridge’ with the structure grounded at each end, the first floor offers an array of boutique-style features including wall-less rooms with panoramic views, creating a seamless connection to the outside. All bedrooms boast an en-suite, wet room and an external terrace while maintaining the feel of a contemporary country house.
The gourmet chef creates a variety of menus from light lunches to 8 course meals, all paired with locally sourced wines. Inside the kitchen, the feature lights have been salvaged from the decommissioned Concorde hangar at Heathrow in London and are suspended over the island unit, which, like all the kitchen joinery is bespoke. Upstairs, the two master suites feature super-king size beds which appear to hover above the floor, 55” flat screen TVs and blue-ray players. The larger suite has a writing desk, two walk in wardrobes and a master en-suite with a shower which fully opens to the elements.
This is an area with something for everyone: Wine tasting tours, Surfing, Paddle-boarding, Sailing, Whale and Dolphin watching, Fishing, Cycling, Yoga, Walking or even Flying in a 1942 Tiger moth along the coast. Please contact info@villagris.com or go to www.villagris.com for further information.
