I have been working in the outdoors for almost 25 years . It’s my passion, it keeps me grounded, but ultimately, it just makes me genuinely happy.
Why is adventure growing so rapidly? Over time I have seen massive changes in the travel business. In today’s market almost anywhere is accessible.
In a modern world, 9-5 working hours seems a meaningless strapline. We work 24/7. We never switch off. Acquisitions have become a quick fix, to gain something tangible in our lives is momentary and more often than not, it’s a temporary solution to the bigger picture.
More and more of us are looking for authenticity in our lives, something that feels unique, authentic and genuine. The beach holiday, no matter how plush, seems ultimately, somewhat empty. I see this every day, clients calling, saying “I want to do something different. I would love to try something adventurous, but I have no I idea how, where, or what to do.”
Adventure is different things to different people. But my personal belief is that it’s all about the journey and what happens along the way. Momentum is not about extreme, nor are we about roughing it – far from it. I always say, nowhere in the adventure bible does it say that you have to suffer to enjoy the adventure! A journey to remember consists of. just that – a journey. A sense of place, culture, amazing local food and a really fantastic guide.
This combination of elements is like creating a beautiful cake. Get all the ingredients just right, and you have something extraordinary. This is an art that only comes with decades of experience. This experience in the field and our great team are something I’m very proud of. With our combined knowledge we can create something magical.
If you’re looking to do something different, whether a challenge or just experiencing something new, I or any of the highly experienced Momentum team would be happy it make your trip the trip of a lifetime.
