Clase Azul Ultra Grand Finale: The $1,000 Cocktail

In collaboration with Foxwoods Resort and Casino, this Clase Azul cocktail is one of the most exclusive in the world.

By Toby Louch

Having taken a break for a few weeks, it’s only right that Cocktail of the Week returns with a vengeance to all the pomp and circumstance it truly deserves. So we are kicking things off with a special serve from Clase Azul, thanks to the Mexican luxury houses’ recent collaboration with one of the premier destinations in the Northeast, Foxwoods Resort and Casino. The Clase Azul Ultra Grand Finale is part luxurious cocktail, part once-in-a-lifetime experience and with only 10 cocktails available, it also ticks the box for exclusivity.

Now, $1,000 for a cocktail may seem a little steep for even the biggest fish in the sea, but those lucky few who get to sample the Clase Azul Ultra Grand Final will not be going home empty-handed.

Featuring five-year-aged Clase Azul Tequila Ultra — one of Clase Azul México’s most exclusive tequilas —in addition to Grand Marnier Cuvee Quintessence, it’s no surprise that this is an impressive tipple. Then there’s the presentation; each of the 10 cocktails will be presented in a custom keepsake glass crafted from a Clase Azul Tequila Ultra decanter. The rarity of the experience is marked further with customers taking home a limited edition “Perfect Ten” chip that has been engraved with the Clase Azul Ultra Grand Finale branding, a unique number and a certificate of authenticity.

“At Foxwoods, we are always uncovering new ways to elevate and redefine luxury for our guests, and our partnership with Clase Azul México is a perfect example of that commitment,” said Jason Guyot, president and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino. “The Clase Azul Ultra Grand Finale isn’t just a cocktail —it’s an invitation to indulge in something truly rare, and there’s only one place to find it – Foxwoods.”

This exclusive cocktail also opens the door to future opportunities by giving customers entry into Foxwoods Grand Bar Club, a membership service brimming with VIP benefits. From exclusive ‘Only at Foxwoods’ events, priority dining via the concierge, regular opportunities to skip lines at public events, access to the Canopy Players Lounge and induction into Clase Azul México’s private client portfolio, this cocktail is a key to a new world.

“We exist to captivate the world through the magic of Mexican culture,” said Alexia Espinoza, director of client experience at Clase Azul México. “We are thrilled to partner with Foxwoods to offer Mexico’s exquisite essence and flavors through the Clase Azul Ultra Grand Finale. As a destination known for creating life-long memories, Foxwoods is the perfect setting to experience this one-of-a-kind journey through the artistry and culture of Clase Azul Tequila Ultra.”

As one of the most exclusive cocktail experiences in the world, priced at $1,000 and strictly limited to only 10 cocktails, barely anyone will get to experience the full Clase Azul Ultra Grand Final. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t find out what it tastes like.

We have pulled a few strings with the team at Clase Azul  México and sourced the recipe. It’s important to remember that a decanter of Clase Azul Tequila Ultra retails for over $2,000 so wherever you make it, this cocktail is going to be expensive. But if you’re desperate to try at home, here’s how.
