Conceived to be a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach, The Opal Lounge is known as one of the most exquisitely beautiful and romantic establishments in Cape Town. The stately Victorian building comprises several unique dining spaces, each with their own lavishly expressed theme. These include the Persian Lounge, sumptuously furnished with oriental rugs, atmospheric lanterns and dark red walls, and the decadent black and gold Bar Lounge, studded with Far Eastern antiques and Louis XV-inspired furnishings. Private dining is available in the individual areas, as well as on the verandah of the opulent Oriental Lounge for eight to 20 guests.
