Style / Ambiance: Michelin-starred restaurant Kong Hans Kælder has a history as rich and interesting as any in Copenhagen.
Located on the site of a former vineyard and named after King Hans, the restaurant was the home of famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen and is the oldest building in the capital. The restaurant itself is in the basement and the medieval atmosphere is enhanced by the solid wooden floors and Gothic arches. Head chef, Thomas Rode Andersen, has created a simple French gourmet menu that will delight all. Expect innovative dishes that look beautiful and taste divine. A separate dining space, The King’s Parlor, is available for private hire and seats 24 guests.
