Style/Ambiance: A bastion of good British beef, Hawksmoor has made many a headline since opening its West End branch in 2010—and rightly so.

The meat is some of the best you’ll find in the UK, sourced from grass-fed Longhorn cattle, dry-aged at least 35 days and cooked on a charcoal grill without fuss or frills. Add to that an extensive wine and cocktail list and handy Covent Garden location, and you’ll find Hawksmoor hard to fault. Come with an appetite— your table will creak under the weight of the prime rib, Porterhouse and Chateaubriand cuts. For extra privacy, ask for the 14-cover private dining room.
