This 57-story skyscraper is set right in the heart of New York’s Theatre District, steps from Times Square. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the action, the location is hard to beat: the hotel is nearby to many of the city’s star attractions from the Museum of Modern Art to Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden.
W Times New York Square is home to 508 guest rooms and 47 suites. The aptly named Extreme Wow Suite features large windows revealing sweeping views of the city skyline. Playfully adorned with modern art, eclectic furnishings and colorful LED lights, you’ll be hard pressed to find a suite quite as bold and unique as this one in the Big Apple.
Expect comfort as well as style; the Extreme Wow Suite boasts an enormous circle-shaped bed topped with 350-thread-count sheets, a separate living/dining area, and a modern bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub stocked with Bliss bath products.
Elsewhere at W New York Times Square is The Living Room, a stylish bar that serves craft cocktails and hosts up-and-coming artists for live DJ sets late into the night.
The hotel brought in New York-based studio Lite Brite Neon to create the glowing neon installation behind the bar. Inspired by Times Square’s vintage flashing signs, it spans almost 40 ft.
As for dining, the hotel is home to sophisticated seafood eatery Blue Fin, where you can enjoy gourmet sushi and cocktails while watching the sunset, and upscale Mexican restaurant, Dos Caminos, which boasts a 40-seat mezcal and margherita bar.
Highlights from the menu include red snapper ceviche; Baja Surf n Turf with grilled skirt steak and beer battered shrimp; and mole slow roasted short ribs.
There’s also a private dining room for hosting intimate dinners, seven event spaces, and an excellent fitness center.
