Revealed in late 2022, the HondaJet Elite II has been designed to replace both the S and original Elite model, meaning the company will only produce one jet – but what a jet it will be.
When it hits the skies, the Elite II will be the fastest jet in its class with a top speed of 485 mph. It will carry four passengers 1,547 nm and can take off on runways as short as 3,699 ft, putting even the most provincial of airports within its capabilities.
Its $7m price tag makes it a viable option for both small charter companies and private owners. Volato, the launch customer, has already ordered 25 for a cool $174m and expects to take delivery in 2025.
Inside, the technology is just as advanced. HondaJet has implemented a speakerless system, instead placing sound devices throughout the cabin for a more immersive audio experience. This means every passenger hears the audio just as clearly.
Other standout features include a pull-out workstation between the four executive seats and a fully enclosed bathroom. Both features are rarely seen on the very light jet category.
