During the recently concluded Bermudas Argo Gold Cup, Montres Corum and Corum ambassador Ben Ainslie co-hosted a special evening with Mr. Mark E. Watson, President and CEO of Argo Group, to celebrate the life of Olympic Champion Andrew “Bart” Simpson who passed away tragically in May 2013.
On Thursday October 10, in the presence of sailing luminaries such as Sir Ben Ainslie, Iain Percy OBE and Mark Watson, more than 200 guests were invited to the celebration of Andrew “Bart” Simpson’s life. During the silent auction which successfully raised nearly $100’000 for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, Corum and local partner Astwood Dickinson had the honor of dedicating an Admirals Cup Tides 48 – a timepiece with a unique complication highly apt to the sailing fraternity.
Thanks to Ben Ainslie, a co-founder of the ASSF, Corum had the honor of joining their brothers in the sailing fraternity in celebrating the life of this great sailor.
