Following the recent opening of the Sanlorenzo Chinese office in Beijing, the Italian shipyard continues its Eastward expansion with a dealership agreement with Derani Yachts.
The contract will see a new Brand Representative office for Sanlorenzo in South East Asia, located in the Phuket Boat Lagoon, Thailand.
Sanlorenzo Thailand & Malaysia will draw on the experience of Derani Yachts, which has been providing professional services in the yachting industry since 1996.
Derani Yachts Managing Director, Hakan Lange, said: “Sanlorenzo is a very good complement to our current line of products, with its SL range of planning hulls ranging from 62-118 feet, fully customized and truly identifiable as Sanlorenzos due to its unique contemporary design.
“With the Sanlorenzo SD line (Semi displacement), the models of unique custom built boats with long range capability, an entire new world is opening up for an owner and this at a very economical cruising cost and environmentally correct Sanlorenzo motor yacht in the SD range.
“And finally, the largest steel hull design coming from Sanlorenzo, and with incredible range and the latest environmentally correct systems for cruising in marine sensitive areas, in utmost comfort.”
Sanlorenzo was recently placed third in the world ranking of the top 20 builders of vessels over 24 meters (source: Global Order Book 2013). Since its foundation over 50 years ago, Sanlorenzo stayed true to the principle of producing a few unique motoryachts per year, each tailored to the requests of the owner.
