Inaugurated on January 4th, 2013 the iconic pier in Puerto Vallarta, México made it to CNN’s list of the most beautiful piers around the world. Ranked number six on the article, the pier on Los Muertos Beach it is the perfect scenario for a romantic walk overlooking the characteristically sunsets of Banderas Bay.
Designed by the winning architect José de Jesús Torres, this is the foundation of a renewal project for Puerto Vallarta’s well-known downtown. Truth to be told, the pier adds a new energy to the other surrounded attractions, appealing local and international visitors.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish:
This is one of the most famous buildings in Puerto Vallarta. Add it to your things to do in town, plus they are always activities around the church, especially during December in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Little Seahorse:
This sculpture located in Olas Altas has become the symbol of Vallarta. Created by artist Rafael Zamarripa the boy on the seahorse has two versions on display, although the original piece is at Los Muertos beach.
Los Arcos Amphitheater:
Located in the southern part of the Malecón and originally constructed from pieces of Guadalajara’s colonial times. They are next to Aquiles Serdan amphitheater; a place use for festival and cultural events.
Plaza de Armas (Presidencia Square)
It’s one of the most beautiful places of the city, and also it’s the center of official political and cultural activity. It´s central bandstand is gorgeous and during weekends they offer free music and danzon classes.
Once you have finished sightseeing the paradise that is Puerto Vallarta, go back and walk around the central sail of Los Muertos Pier. Take some amazing pictures at night, when the multicolored lights create a stunning background for your romantic pictures.
