Matlali Ocean Front Villas is the newest hotel to open on the Riviera Nayarit positioned within the Premium Segment. These luxury villas are located in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and are the only ones in the area to belong to the exclusive Preferred Boutique group.
There are 650 Preferred hotels around the world, divided among six different brands. Matlali is part of the Preferred Boutique group, of which there are 162 on the planet and only six in Mexico.
“We belong to this category because we’re a small hotel with a very high level of service and excellent facilities,” said Raúl Núñez, General Manager of Matlali. “We believe and have faith the luxury market we cater to is ample enough to receive us and the destination and the property have the required amenities to reach it.”
One of Matlali’s objectives is for the visitor to enjoy his or her experience in a holistic, organic manner. This would include not only delighting in its haute cuisine, prepared with the freshest seafood found in the area; its spa with its menu of Huichol and Cora treatments; its club house and beach house, Eva Mandarina, but also the distinctiveness of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
“We’d like for the tourist to go beyond the hotel and get to know the destination, in particular La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a magical village as yet untouched by mass tourism that still retains our very Mexican heritage,” added Raúl Núñez.
As far as its promotion is concerned, this resort would like to begin by consolidating the natural markets represented by Mexico, the United States and Canada. “During our second phase we’re planning on targeting the South American market, because we know the Riviera Nayarit is making a concerted effort to promote themselves in that region,” said the General Manager.
