The St. Regis Mexico City Debuts Signature French Cuisine At La Table Krug

St Regis Krug11The St. Regis Mexico City, the cosmopolitan hotel setting the highest standard for luxury and bespoke service in Mexico, is pleased to debut its latest project: La Table Krug—the best kept culinary secret in Mexico.

The new collaboration between Möet Hennessy Mexico and The St. Regis Mexico City will play tribute to the legendary Maison Krug. The gastronomic endeavor will offer a multi-sensory French epicurean experience in a luxurious atmosphere for exclusively 12 guests.

The extraordinary 11 course culinary journey will be masterly orchestrated by Executive Chef Sylvain Desbois, who will design signature recipes and menus with the freshest produce and highest quality ingredients including King crab, Sologne caviar, Wagyu prime cuts, Kumamoto oysters, black truffles and Maine lobster, along with other sophisticated products sourced from around the world.  Inspired by his own creativity and seasonal food, Chef Desbois will create a new menu each week.

“La Table Krug is the smallest and most intimate French restaurant in Mexico where guests will be immersed in a culinary experience like no other. The restaurant’s beauty and joie de vivre will breathe life into every bite,” said Bernard de Villèle, general director of The St. Regis Mexico City.

The unique dining experience will surprise the most discerning palates from Tuesday through Saturday beginning at 8 p.m.  At La Table Krug, guests will discover luxury in every detail, including a Carrara marble table and one-of-a-kind plates, glasses and cutlery comprised of different materials and textures that have been carefully selected to present a unique experience – a signature of Maison Krug.

St Regis Krug44Desbois honed his culinary skills and mastered French technique working with acclaimed Michelin starred French chefs, Bernard Loiseau and Eric Frechom, during his tenure at Le Bristol in Paris. Due to the significance of Mexican gastronomy as part of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, Desbois has learned to incorporate the country’s rich traditions into his cooking. La Table Krug highlights Desbois’ signature style, showcasing his roots in Bretagne and the French Riviera.

“La Table Krug is a unique concept allowing me to express my creativity with food, while experimenting with textures, flavors and aromas that pair beautifully with the finest Champagne of Maison Krug,” said Desbois.

La Table Krug is the place where the elite will gather to take pleasure in extraordinary cuisine, stimulating conversation and of course, exceptional Champagne.

For this experience, Desbois and Krug will surprise guests with exceptional culinary offerings and outstanding wines, such as Krug Vintage 2000 (95/100 Wine Spectator), available exclusively at The St. Regis Mexico City

Days and Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Saturday at 8:00 pm, by reservation only

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday: serving a configuration of three tables of four
  • Thursday and Friday: serving a communal table of twelve people
