Here at Elite Traveler, we love a good watch collaboration. What we love even more is one as charitable and inspiring as Harry Winston’s limited edition Countdown To A Cure timepieces. Designed exclusively for amFAR, sales benefit amFAR’s efforts to develop the scientific basis of a cure for HIV. Limited to 40 pieces, 20 men’s and 20 women’s, the watches are part of the iconic Harry Winston Midnight Collection. Twenty percent of the retail sales of each watch will be donated to amFAR.
The 42mm men’s watch (above left) has a mechanical movement with 18K white gold case and navy blue dial, surrounded by a multicolor gradient that signifies the campaign’s colors and represents the fade of HIV from crisis to cure. The women’s model (above right) is smaller at 32mm with a quartz movement. Its 18K white gold case is set with 12 brilliant-cut diamonds and a gradient comprising 19 gemstones, including rubies, spessaratite garnets and multicolored sapphires. Both are available exclusively at Harry Winston salons worldwide.
