Much like its male counterpart, the women’s collection—which first launched for fall/winter 2012 under the creative direction of Giovanna Paone—focuses on wearable, versatile pieces with an uncompromising sense of luxury (think ultra-light cashmere and featherweight silks).
The collection was largely inspired by the idea of balance, playing with volume, silhouette, and proportion in sculptural jackets and deconstructed robe coats. Each piece is designed with the company’s historic roots in mind, making for looks that manage to be both modern and timelessly chic, from sleek cigarette-style pant suits to a trench in buttery laser-cut suede.
For evening wear, softly draped gowns and crisp tuxedos alike were rendered in head-to-toe white for an elegant, ethereal look.
