You may be surprised to find out that in the 57-year history of Ralph Lauren, the classic American luxury brand has never released a men’s jewelry collection. While it all began with accessories, the first Ralph Lauren products were ties and the company never branched out into men’s fine jewelry.
However, this potential oversight is set to change as Ralph Lauren just revealed its inaugural men’s fine jewelry collection. The initial collection, comprised of 14 individual pieces, represents Ralph Lauren’s foray into a new and untapped market.
The collection has been inspired by both heritage and sophistication, buzz words that have become synonymous with Ralph Lauren over the last five decades. It’s also distinctly American, leaning into the brand’s roots while maintaining a contemporary edge. Featuring tie bars, cufflinks and bangles, the collection looks to cover both angles, allowing individuals to elevate their tailoring with a tie bar or cufflink, or perhaps make an outfit slightly more casual with a bangle.
Each piece in the new collection is constructed from either 925 sterling silver, brass or leather, ranging in price from $250 for a tie bar in sterling silver to $450 for a bangle in brass or sterling silver. The tie bar features a helmet and mallet, a clear nod to Ralph Lauren’s polo heritage. There is an equine theme that runs throughout the collection, with stirrups and horseshoes represented on the cufflinks, while the bangles are once again shaped like polo mallets. There is, however, a pair of slipper cufflinks, waving the flag of Ralph Lauren’s tailoring heritage.
