DronesDirect has launched what it calls “the world’s most luxurious drone” – a 24-carat gold-plated DJI Phantom 4 costing $25,000.
The DJI Phantom 4 Gold Edition can reach heights of up to 100m and can be controlled from up to 2km away. Owners can take 4K high definition photographs and videos using the integrated camera, which is mounted on an electronic gimbal to ensure ultra-smooth, sweeping shots are recorded in seamless high quality.
It includes sense and avoid technology and has the ability to track moving objects automatically using ActiveTrack. The drone’s Smart Return Home function enables the Phantom to intelligently detect potential hazards whilst in the air and make a safe landing as well as bring it back home at the push of a button.
The $25,000 package, complete with gold trimmings, comprises a Phantom 4 remote controller, Phantom 4 Intelligent Flight Battery, mobile phone holder, two sets of propellers and propeller storage bag, charger and power cable, gimbal clamp, 16GB MicroSD card, Micro USB cable and carrying case.
Tim Morley, Business Unit Manager at DronesDirect said: “For those who want an exclusive one-off drone, the DJI Phantom 4 Gold Edition is perfect. It is the ultimate status symbol for the gadget-lover who wants something more bespoke. The impressive functionality allows them to survey their estate, supercar collection or explore off-the-radar territory whilst out sailing.”
