The independent watch brand, FRANC VILA, has announced that French golfer, Grégory Havret, has participated in the creation of a limited series of its famous FV EVOS 8Ch “Cobra” Large Date Automatic Chronograph.
This partnership goes even further as the watch brand is donating ten percent of the sales of this special model to the charitable association ‘Les Balles Blanches’.
“I met the Franc Vila team last year during the tenth edition of the Green Velvet Edmond de Rothschild in Megève, and discovered this “Esprit Unique” brand.
“I was particularly drawn to its Cobra model that uses titanium and carbon fiber. I am happy to wear a watch that incorporates the elements that I myself had the pleasure to choose during the creation of this limited series,” said Grégory Havret.
A professional golfer since 1999 after winning the European championship that same year, Grégory Havret, French number one four times (2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011), already has three victories to his credit on the European Tour (The Atlanet Italian Open in 2001, the Barclays Scottish Open in 2007, and the Johnnie Walker Championship in 2008).
We also remember also his superb second place at the US Open in Pebble Beach in 2010. Gregory has just finished in third place at the KLM Open for his third top ten placing since mid-July.
Serge Aebischer, CEO of Franc Vila Watches, said: “It has been a great pleasure working on this limited series project with Grégory Havret. Gregory brings a level of attention to detail that makes all the difference. Modest and serious, he represents, in his own way, the distinguishing features of our brand, which is unlike any other in the world of timekeeping.
“I might add that our common appreciation of the work of the charity ‘Les Balles Blanches’ also brings us together since we both share the same concern for helping sick children.”
The Franc Vila founder continued: “More than an instrument that tells time, a watch is a wearable emotional object, a luxury product par excellence. Our partnership with Gregory is also filled with emotion, and we would like it to benefit each of us.
“This is the very first time that we have created, in partnership, a limited edition watch while at the same time supporting a charitable organization. It has been truly wonderful to find a symbiosis between the elements linked to the sport of golf and the art of timekeeping.”
