Adam Bossi’s entrée into the business of fine timepieces and jewelry consisted of keeping watch over them as a part-time security officer at Alpha Omega Jewelers in his native Boston while going to school. He returns to Boston as President of the venerable Shreve, Crump & Low, a firm that dates its founding to 1796.
In between, the energetic Bossi rose from Sales Manager to Brand Manager for Blancpain, one of the luxury watchmakers of Swatch Group. He joins Shreve as the retailer makes a major move, opening a 4,800 square foot location in Greenwich, Connecticut, a haven for hedge funders and titans of finance.
In a press release, Bossi commented, “With such a strong foundation in the New England market, I see immense potential for Shreve, Crump & Low to become the top destination for the finest jewelry and timepieces in the United States. The opening of a third location is such an exciting time for the company, and I look forward to working with the team to assist in bringing the organization to the next level.”
The Bostonian is certainly in a good position to assist with the Greenwich debut. Over the summer he opened Blancpain’s flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue in New York, an avant-garde combination of state of the art technology with an ode to the brand’s Swiss farmhouse roots.
He will be able to keep selling Blancpain timepieces, however, and he will now have a variety of other collectible brands, including A. Lange & Sohne, Audemars Piguet, Carl F. Bucherer, Chopard, Franck Muller, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Omega, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin and Zenith. With the move to Shreve, Bossi will also be adding jewelry to his repertoire with Buccellati, David Webb, Oscar Heyman and Pomellato among his featured designers.
