The air is growing colder and the days shorter as the leaves on the trees change color, trading their fulsome green for warm, golden hues: the first signs of autumn reveal their most attractive features and announce the beginning of the cold time of year.
The exclusive timepieces from Glashütte Original make it easier, however, to bid summer farewell. The stylish watches in our Men’s collection feature intense colours, distinguished design, refined materials and superb horological complications, bringing timeless elegance and technical sophistication to the fall and winter months.
The new manufactory Chronograph (Calibre 37) from Glashütte Original inspires enthusiasm with reliable technical solutions, contemporary design and a well-balanced combination of functions, including: central stop seconds hand, 12 hour counter, flyback mechanism, small seconds with power reserve indicator (70 hours) and Glashütte Original’s characteristic Panorama Date display.
The automatic 4Hz column-wheel Calibre 37-01 has been designed to be as simple and compact as possible in order to reduce susceptibility to interference and assure excellent rate precision. The new movement is at the heart of two versions of the Senator Chronograph Panorama Date.
The first presents an impressive lacquered silver grain dial with black railroad chapter ring and black Roman numerals, framed by a satin-polished18-carat red gold case. The second version offers a striking, sophisticated silver-coloured dial with railroad chapter ring, Roman numerals and a surrounding tachometric scale. For the surface the Saxon manufactory turned to a traditional craft technique, “silver plating by friction”, practiced today by only a few experienced specialists.
