Location
Lāna‘I City, Lanai City, HI 96763, USA

Lanai is considered one of the few remaining ‘untouched’ islands in Hawaii and is decidedly underdeveloped — meaning it’s a paradise for off-the-beaten-track adventures from horseback riding to 4x4 excursions. Four Seasons Lanai sits on a bluff overlooking the bliss-inducing Hulopoe Bay; the resort’s laid-back, ethereal luxury has featured in many issues of Elite Traveler. The top key (or, more specifically, the top wristband — the resort uses them in place of keys) is the resplendent Alii Royal Suite. The 3,984-sq-ft, two-bedroom suite has a sleek decor favoring neutral tones with glimmering gold and natural materials. There’s an open-concept living and dining space, formal sitting area, hot tub, media room and a library, but you’ll want to spend time out on one of the three open-air lanais to keep an eye out for marine life frolicking in the Pacific.
