With a nod to space exploration, Echo Base conveys an out-of-this-world escape from the noise and buzz of our daily lives. An exclusive group’s dream buyout, the camp redefines ‘remote.’ Installed at the base of the Henriksen Nunataks, mountain peaks that protrude from the ice, Echo Base has six futuristic ‘Sky Pod’ suites. Composed with mixed composite materials, and with floor-to-ceiling windows so the external and internal fuse, the pods can be arranged as singles or doubles. Shared among guests, there’s a central shower unit, kitchen, dining, and lounge area. The Platinum Pod, the largest and most commodious stay with a little lounge area, lies a bit further afield, promising eerily soothing quietude in the most quixotic of destinations.
