The Grand Lodge guests retain access to the extensive range of amenities and activities across the Nemacolin resort which includes, but is by no means limited to, mini golf, horseback riding, fly fishing, upland bird hunting, archery, cooking classes, tennis, animal encounters, whitewater rafting and paintball. The list goes on – and on, and on, and on.
While young guests are out exploring the myriad kid-friendly experiences, parents can indulge in some well-deserved quiet time at one of the resort's many restaurants and bars. At The Grand Lodge, there are sustainably sourced steakhouse feasts at Fawn & Fable, and the sophisticated Circle Bar & The Study.
The Grand Lodge is an all-suite property, but for the real cream of the crop, top-of-the-range, best room in the house, book the Penthouse Suite. Set on a private floor of the hotel with a separate entrance away from prying eyes, the lavishly decorated accommodation is made up of two bedrooms (including a sumptuous master with a four-poster bed and working fireplace), two bathrooms, an inviting lounge and a Juliet balcony. Few suites in the state even come close.
Naturally, in a room of this caliber, the service is top notch too. Guests staying in the Penthouse Suite (which can accommodate up to six) have access to the service of a butler, chauffeur and a dedicated concierge during their stay.
