At The Lodge, there are hearty French-style classics at the new Rockwell’s Bistro, sustainably sourced steakhouse feasts at Fawn & Fable, and a secret library bar.

The Grand Lodge is a proudly all-suite but for the real cream of the crop, top-of-the-range, best room in the house, book the Penthouse Suite. Set on a private floor of the hotel with a separate entrance away from prying eyes, the lavishly decorated accommodation is made up of two bedrooms (including a sumptuous master with a four-poster bed and working fireplace), two bathrooms, an inviting lounge complete with a grand piano, and a Juliet balcony. Few suites in the state even come close.

Naturally, in a room of this caliber, the service is top notch too. Guests staying in the Penthouse Suite (which can accommodate up to six) have access to the service of a butler, chauffeur and a dedicated concierge during their stay.
