The Suite
Booking the Presidential Suite puts you on the 19th floor, maximizing the hotel's prime location on Burlingame Island. This is a residential-style stay offering clear sightlines across Biscayne Bay and the downtown Miami skyline—a strong scene set the moment you arrive.
The views are inescapable. They stream in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, but the best vantage point is the private wraparound balcony, ideal for watching the city transition from daylight to evening. Inside, the design adheres to the traditional Mandarin Oriental aesthetic: a confident mix of light and dark woods accented by rich golds and vibrant oranges that prevent the space from feeling sterile.
The practical layout includes a proper dining area for private meals, a master bedroom, and a guest powder room. Notably, the suite features a dedicated 'spa room' designed specifically for in-suite treatments. For larger groups requiring additional space, the suite can be combined with an adjoining Junior Bay View Room.
The Hotel
Located on Brickell Key – a man-made island off the shore of downtown Miami – this waterfront retreat boasts stunning views across Biscayne Bay. This is the place to stay if you’re looking for a secluded haven away from bustling South Beach. As those who have stayed at a Mandarin Oriental property will expect, the hotel is seriously luxurious; expect stylish, modern décor with lashings of marble and contemporary artworks dotted throughout. Chef Gaston Acurio’s glamorous Peruvian restaurant feels right at home here (request a table out on the terrace for a memorable evening dining at the water’s edge). Mandarin Oriental also built its own private stretch of white sand; peppered with swaying palms, umbrellas and sunbeds, it’s every bit as idyllic as Miami’s famed beaches – sans the crowds.
