The Suite
The history here is undeniable: Maestro Giuseppe Verdi called this suite home for 27 years, making it a residency steeped in operatic legend, not just a luxury stay. Recent restoration work successfully updated the space, integrating discreet modern technology while carefully preserving the suite's romantic historic character.
The interior layout is distinctly grand, featuring a spacious, decidedly pink living area and a separate fireplace lounge—an ideal setup for quiet evenings. Crucially, Verdi's original personal desk remains the focal point, grounding the room in its celebrated past and allowing guests to sit where the Maestro once worked.
For a view of Milanese life, dramatic, ceiling-high French windows frame the space, providing access to three generous private balconies. These vantage points offer direct, commanding views over the daily rhythm of Via Manzoni below. It's a compelling intersection of comfort and cultural significance.
The Hotel
Grand Hotel et de Milan is one of the city’s few remaining family-run hotels, operated by the Bertazzoni family since 1969. Its opulent rooms blend traditional and contemporary design, with the building’s rich history ensuring that no two are exactly alike. Guests can enjoy a range of dining options, from relaxed Mediterranean cuisine to intimate fine dining. In the evenings, unwind with a cocktail and rub shoulders with the city's elite at the sophisticated Gerry's Bar.
