The Suite
Operating like a private estate, this Balinese-style retreat sits just a minute's drive from the main resort. It is structured around five free-standing pavilions, which are surrounded by landscaped gardens and dramatic, cascading rice terraces. The service model is designed as a 'hotel-within-a-hotel,' delivered expertly by two dedicated staff members.
Guests select from three detached, terrace-style bedrooms, each offering privacy. To appreciate the Ayung River Valley, the best vantage points are the open-air 'bale,' the sun-drenched terrace, or the impressive glass-walled living room. Below, the two-tiered swimming pool directs sightlines toward the distant peaks of Mount Batukaru, Sanghyang, and Lesung. Since a private vehicle is always at the ready, transport between the villa and Amandari's main facilities is entirely seamless.
The Hotel
Stone steps lead through temple-like pavilions and moss-lined walls, setting the tone for a stay immersed in Balinese tradition. Amandari’s suites are crafted with alang-alang thatched roofs, teak accents and open-air living spaces that overlook the valley. The property draws on the spirit of nearby villages, with carved gateways and pathways echoing the rhythms of local life. The pool follows the curve of the hillside, while the spa offers quiet treatments rooted in natural healing. With its timeless design and close cultural ties, Amandari feels deeply connected to the land.
