The Suite
High above the Buahan Valley, this leafy retreat is perfectly positioned for guests to catch sunrise views over the surrounding seven peaks. Inspired by open-air pavilions, the design replaces walls with billowing cream drapes that invite the jungle in. Inside, vaulted teak ceilings, handcrafted furniture, and earthy textiles, inspired by traditional Balinese craft, lend a sense of rustic elegance. A four-poster bed takes center stage in the open-plan layout, where a freestanding copper bathtub overlooks the valley and distant mountains. Outside, the generous wooden terrace extends into the canopy, complete with a fire pit, daybed, alfresco dining area and an infinity pool that seems to vanish into the forest. Though designed for privacy, the villa remains just moments from the resort’s main area, offering easy access to the hotel’s wider amenities.
The Hotel
Privacy defines the experience at Buahan, where open-air villas blur the line between shelter and jungle. The no-wall concept invites complete immersion in the surrounding landscape with views of dense forest and distant peaks. Crafted from reclaimed wood and natural materials, each bale-style villa includes a private pool and freestanding copper bathtub. The resort focuses on quiet, wellness and connection to nature, supported by an on-site herbal lab, yoga pavilion and zero-waste ethos. Far from the island’s crowds, Buahan offers a slow-paced stay where silence is part of the design.
