Luxury Southern hospitality comes to life at The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Atlanta Buckhead located in the upmarket Atlanta neighborhood of Buckhead known for its boutique shopping, independent art galleries and culinary scene.

The 507-room and -suite hotel takes its name from Buckhead’s founding father, John Whitley, a 19th-century farmer, hunter and tradesman. The hotel’s interiors draw inspiration from the area's rural past with a muted color palette in earth tones of taupe, soft greens and gray mixed with prints and wallpaper inspired by the natural world as well as Southern heirloom touches like antique chandeliers. 

The lavish but contemporary 1,800-sq-ft Whitley Suite is the hotel’s largest and offers sweeping views of Buckhead and the city skyline beyond through wraparound windows. Light and airy in tasteful beige tones with flickers of gold and burnt orange and mahogany floors, the substantial lounge is the ultimate entertaining space with a billiards table, grand piano and two enormous cream L-shaped sofas. The suite also benefits from a dining room which features a chic sit-down bar and butler’s pantry. 

The bedroom is a calming sanctuary of neutrals with soothing green accents and flora and fauna detailing in the textiles and artwork. The four-poster bed is dressed in 400-thread-count linens, while both bathrooms benefit from amenities by luxe European brand Byredo. 

Guests of the Whitley Suite have access to the exclusive Whitley Club Level Lounge with chef-prepared breakfast, snacks, hors d'oeuvres and dessert throughout the day, whilst downstairs the Trade Route restaurant serves deliciously indulgent elevated Southern classics, inventive handcrafted cocktails and afternoon tea.
