The Suite

Royal in name and nature, the Royal Suite at The St. Regis Rome has long been the preferred residence of monarchs, heads of state and luminaries from around the globe.

Embracing the grandeur of the historic 1894 palazzo in which the hotel resides, the one-bedroom suite embodies pure opulence and timeless allure, with every detail meticulously crafted to honor the traditions of Roman artisanship and elegance.

Upon entering through the dedicated hotel entrance, guests are welcomed by an expensive entry hall that leads into the grand living room, where an antique piano and a genuine Aubusson carpet set the stage for refined gatherings.

The materials used throughout the suite – travertine, bronze, silk and wood – reference the architectural heritage of Rome, while sculptural busts, majestic Murano chandeliers and mosaics enrich the atmosphere with a sense of historic grandeur. The color palette of deep yellow, crimson red and noble gold enhances the aristocratic Roman patterns, with Louis XVI and Piedmont furniture adding to the suite's regal ambiance.

A private dining room, featuring a stunning marble table that seats up to 12 guests, is ideal for hosting the famed St. Regis Midnight Supper – and since this elegant dining experience is served from a private kitchen, you can relax knowing that every meal is as exclusive as the surroundings.

The master bedroom is a sanctuary of calm, featuring a king-sized bed draped in luxurious linens and a spacious walk-in wardrobe. The adjoining marble bathroom is a spa-like retreat, complete with a deep soaking tub, separate shower and opulent vanity spaces.

Every moment in the suite is enhanced by the personalized St. Regis Butler Service, ensuring that every need is met with grace and precision – whether that’s organizing a bespoke itinerary of the city’s typically off-limits sights or enjoying the suite’s bespoke amenities such as velvet jewelry boxes by Ecriteau, Technogym workout kits and refined linen pajamas by Tebro1867.

The Hotel

Opened by César Ritz in 1894, the St. Regis Rome is a relative newcomer compared to some of its neighbors in the Eternal City. But, with its arrival near Piazza della Repubblica, complete with top-hatted doormen just before the turn of the century, it ushered in a new era of lavishness.

Today, it is every inch the symbol of la dolce vita, with its latest marvelous iteration from the hands of design luminary Pierre-Yves Rochon. Neoclassical interiors are reimagined with modern influences, crafting a sophisticated ambiance that honors the hotel’s rich 130-year-plus heritage. Located just steps from the Quirinale Presidential Palace and a short stroll from iconic landmarks such as the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, the St. Regis Rome offers an ideal base for exploring the city.

The hotel’s 161 beautifully renovated guestrooms and suites, including the illustrious Royal Suite and the fashion-forward Bottega Veneta Suite, provide guests with a luxurious retreat from the bustling streets below. At the heart of the hotel lies the Ritz Ballroom, a true masterpiece restored with painstaking care. Originally designed by Roman architect Giulio Podesti, it is adorned with frescoes by Mario Spinetti, evoking the grandeur of a bygone era.

Today, the ballroom serves as an opulent venue for the most prestigious events, continuing its legacy as a symbol of Roman splendor. For a taste of modern Roman social life, Lumen, Cocktails & Cuisine offers a vibrant gathering space, where the city’s creatives, connoisseurs and travelers come together. Every evening at 7pm, the Champagne Sabering ritual sets the stage for an exquisite dinner curated by executive chef Francesco Donatelli. In the summer, guests can retreat to the tranquil Lumen Garden, a verdant oasis in the heart of the hotel, designed with sustainability in mind.
