The Suite
For guests looking to take a step back in time, the Colonial Manor at Capella Singapore, blends refined old-school luxury with modern touches. Recently redesigned, these manors tell a vibrant story with their interiors, using maps of old Singapore, artifacts and period furniture to bridge the gap to the past. Positioned as a wonderous stay for multi-generational families, here three ensuite bedrooms provide plenty of space, while the addition of a private outdoor pool and spacious terrace help to add a level of seclusion.
The Hotel
Capella Singapore is a hidden, tropical sanctuary located on Sentosa Island, just off the southern coast. The resort is set on 30 acres of lush land (with resident peacocks wandering throughout); at its heart are two restored Tanah Merah colonial bungalows dating back to the 1880s. There are also incredible standalone manors, ranging from colonial-style to ultra-modern, that dot the land surrounding the main building. Each room has a modern style and the decor utilizes natural materials, as well as a cream-and-gray color palette. There are three dining venues plus a chef’s table reserved for private events; outdoor bars overlooking the rain forest; the tranquil Auriga Spa; and cascading pools built to resemble the rice paddies of Bali.
