Like much of Dubai, the luscious green fairways of its golf courses appear juxtaposed in its desert surroundings. But despite the obvious challenges in keeping a golf course alive in such harsh conditions, Dubai is now home to some of the best golf courses in the world. The Jumeirah Golf Estates is perhaps the best of them all. The club is home to two courses, Earth and Fire, and both offer significant challenges for even the best golfers. Indeed, the Earth course hosts the Dubai World Tour Championship, one of the most prestigious events on the European Tour. As the names of the two courses suggest, there will eventually be four courses on the estate with Wind and Water still in the works.
