If crowds aren’t your thing, you can visit the museum after the crowds have dissipated.

Musée du Louvre is a go-to destination for any tourist and as a result, it can be absurdly busy during peak season. Indeed, the huge crowd that constantly ebbs and flows around the Mona Lisa is a sight to behold in itself. However, if crowds aren’t your thing, you can visit the museum after the crowds have dissipated. The museum stays open late on Wednesdays and Fridays, allowing visitors to see the artwork in a completely different light. Many hotels will be able to arrange a private tour guide, and it is also possible to have the museum to yourself. Concierge services have been known to charge around $34,000 to organize exclusive access to the museum.
