New Delhi’s Exhibit 320 Debuts Muktinath Mondal Solo Exhibition

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

New Delhi, India – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Fresh from Tulia is contemporary artist Muktinath Mondal’s solo show at Exhibit 320. Featuring his neo-mythical narratives, the show seeks to explore Mondal’s dive into India’s classical, folk and popular art cultures. His examination of the distinction between myths and realities gives the works a narrative theme that is rich in historical subtext. Mondal’s equilibrium between nostalgic idealism and poignant realism is a reflection of the burgeoning urban societies of India and his small hometown of Tulia.

Avid art collector Raskia Kajaria has developed Exhibit 320 into a leading space showcasing contemporary art from India and the Subcontinent, creating a platform that encourages exchange of new ideas, aesthetic exploration and furthering visual dialogue.

The exhibition runs through November 10, 2011.
