Hong Kong, China – Reported by Coleman Bentley for Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
A first for Hong Kong’s burgeoning luxury hoteliers, Langham Food and Wine Festival 2012 looks to ring the gong, cementing China’s preeminent cultural region’s position as a world food superpower.
The ten-day event (Sept. 13 – Sept. 23) is a celebration of Hong Kong’s gourmet oasis, putting some of the most experimental cuisine ever set-to-stove proudly on display, alongside the restaurants and chefs that create it day-in day-out. Collecting world-renowned chefs, award-winning wine producers and highly-acclaimed industry enthusiasts, the Langham Food and Wine Festival offers attendees a taste or, in the case of the Igor Macchia Exclusive Dinner, a 6-course meal’s worth of the luxury food lifestyle.
Designed for you and seven guests, the exclusive, auction-winner-only dinner begins and ends in the Penthouse Suite of the Langham Palace, Mongkok. Personally cooked by Chef Igor Macchia and complemented by a carefully-curated selection of Frescobaldi wines, the meal also provides sustenance to a good cause, with all auction proceeds being donated directly to charity. Bids begin at $2,500.
Standard Chartered / Manhattan Credit Cardholders can enjoy an exclusive 20% off for booking any official event of Langham Food & Wine Festival or when dine at any restaurant at The Langham, Hong Kong or Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong from Sep 13 – 23, 2012.
