NetJets® this year celebrates its 11th Year as sponsor of prestigious modern and contemporary art show, Art Basel Miami Beach. Art Basel Miami Beach will run from December 6-9, 2012 at the Miami Beach Convention Center and will feature more than 250 leading galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa, showcasing works by more than 2,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Adam Johnson, senior vice president of Global Sales, Marketing and Service for NetJets said: “NetJets would like to congratulate Art Basel Miami Beach on its tremendous success, and as a sponsor since the show’s inception, we are proud to be celebrating our 11th year as part of one of the most important annual art shows in the world.
“Art Basel Miami Beach provides a platform for the world’s most talented and innovative contemporary artists, and through our partnership with the show, we are pleased to provide our customers with exclusive access to this prestigious art event.”
For the last ten years, NetJets celebrated the opening of Art Basel Miami Beach by honoring acclaimed artists or art collectors at a private cocktail reception known as the NetJets Collectors Cocktail. This year, NetJets will host the NetJets Collectors Cocktail in collaboration with Artspace, the leading online marketplace for contemporary art, on December 5th at The Bath Club located in the heart of Miami Beach. The event will highlight the work of six international artists selected by NetJets, Artspace and Micaela Giovannotti, an independent, New York-based curator.
Keeping The Bath Club’s architecture and locale in mind, the works selected are loosely-based on the baroque style. The artists whose work will feature at the party include: Dzine, Angelo Filomeno, Luis Gispert, Wangechi Mutu, Angel Otero and Emilio Perez.
NetJets boasts a long-standing commitment to the arts and its most important institutions.
