Budapest

As the capital city of Hungary, Budapest is one of the areas in the country most visited by elite travelers. Spanning over 200 square miles, it is also the hub of most major political, commercial and entertainment centers.
The name Budapest originated in 1873 when the city acquired both sides of the river Danube (one labeled the Buda bank and one labeled the Pest bank). During the 19th century it stood as the second capital of Austria-Hungary before they became separate entities and was also the main point of focus during the Hungarian Revolution in 1848.
It is not uncommon to find Budapest topping polls as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities to visit, with Forbes recently rating it the seventh most ideal place to live. Sites of interest include the river Danube, the Buda Castle, Heroes’ Square and the vast number of thermal springs.
Our aim is to guide you towards the areas that host some of the world’s most incredible hotels and resorts. Budapest is a prime destination for the high-end visitor and has already played host to some of the entertainment world’s most discerning travelers, including Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diana Ross.
