JULY 25 – AUGUST 30, 2014

Paying tribute to Lucca-born composer Giacomo Puccini, the Festival is held every summer in an open-air theater next to Puccini’s former home, Villa Mausoleum.

Established in 1930, the festival now attracts 40,000 opera lovers each year, all keen to enjoy extraordinary productions of Puccini’s operas including Madam Butterfly, La Bohème and Turandot. The modern amphitheater-like arena opened in 2008 and seats 3,370. VIPs are offered a welcome drink in the guest garden and invited to meet the opera stars in their dressing rooms before the performance. A special dinner with the artists after the performance can be arranged for elite guests.
