The 4 Best Things to do at Night in Florence

By Chris Boyle

Golden View open Bar Cellar

Located in southern Tuscany, Florence is a city for wine lovers.

Enjoy exclusive private tastings at the city’s top wine bars, complemented with rustic Tuscan delicacies. For an exclusive private event hire celebrity chef Fabio Picchi’s Teatro del Sale, combining good food with high-class theatrical performance.

Golden View open Bar Restaurant

The Golden View Open Bar has a number of fascinating rooms, including a restaurant serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine, a tea room, a bar offering vividly colored cocktails and a bakery serving breakfast.

Each room boasts magnificent views across the River Arno to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. For a truly elite experience, book an exclusive wine tasting session in the bar’s vast private cellar, followed by a private VIP dinner in a suite above the restaurant. Chef Francesco Casu uses high-quality fresh ingredients, simply cooked to produce delicious and healthy cuisine. Why not sample some of the unusual raw fish dishes on offer, such as tartare of tuna and red shrimp dressed in extra virgin olive oil.

The Dolce Vita has enjoyed several makeovers since it opened in 1985.

Architects Simon Miller, Claudio Nardi and Gaetano Pesce have all contributed to the bar’s iconic interior. Diner-style stainless steel high stools and tables surround the curved white bar and bright splashes of paint enliven the concrete floor. There is a relaxed leather seating area bathed in blue green light, with luminous sculptures and hand-picked glass tiles. The Dolce Vita has a large exhibition space where a new selection of artwork is displayed every 30 days. The bar offers a broad selection of international wines and hosts regular wine tastings, complemented by flavorsome French cheeses and Tuscan salami.
