Set in the lush, leafy grounds of Chantilly racecourse, just north of Paris, the Prix de Diane is the perfect event with which to ease yourself into the racing season.
Slightly less formal – but no less refined – than races such as the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, it is a chance to watch worldclass thoroughbred fillies race in a picturesque setting. Ladies are particularly welcome to this event, with competition rife for the best hat and luxury pampering marquees dotted about the event grounds. Bring a delicious picnic hamper filled with seasonal French treats, and relax on the lawns in between races, or visit one of the restaurants for a gourmet sit-down lunch. Children are also welcome, and can amuse themselves in a dedicated section of the site whilst the grown-ups watch the horses.
