Opened in June, these three new suites were originally surveillance points for the military fortess-turned-hotel, hewn into the rock face of the private peninsula and overlooking the bay of Palma de Mallorca. Each one also has a private terrace built into the cliffs.

The multi-angled windows that look out to the medieval town of Elciego are just one of the features in this Frank Gehry-designed suite. There is also a pair of Gehry’s iconic Cloud lamps flanking the king-size bed, and glass doors that open onto a private terrace.

From $735

A 19th century Mallorcan mansion is the setting for this new hotel in the charming Balearic town of Palma. Its best suite is the Sant Francesc with stunning frescoed ceilings and a balcony overlooking the old town.
