Beverly Hills, California – Repprted by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
The Peninsula Beverly Hills, the only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star hotel in Southern California for 19 consecutive years, recently completed a year-long renovation of all 193 guest rooms, suites and villas. One of the hotel’s grandest suites, which overlooks the lush courtyard garden, was redecorated by American design icon Nancy Corzine, known for her contemporary luxe style and signature line of furnishings, textiles, lighting and interior design. The color palette throughout the 2,100 sq ft Nancy Corzine Suite is pale blue accented with Venetian silver, cream and white. “They are relaxing California colors that bring the outside in – and make a California Blonde look glamorous,” said Corzine.
The author of Glamour at Home, Corzine took pieces from her own collection, some new, some more traditional, to furnish the two-bedroom suite, which features a fireplace, a balcony and a full kitchen. Chairs and sofas are in pale blue linen velvet with Greek key trim around the skirts. The end tables feature hand-blown Murano glass-sphere lamps done in clear and silver, with pale blue silk lampshades. The faded walnut dining table has a Gustavian Scandinavian finish, an homage to Corzine’s Finnish heritage. The bedrooms are done in similar shades of pale blue and white, with mirrored nightstands and polished nicked wall sconces. At the foot of the master bed is a Venetian silver bench upholstered in tufted blue linen velvet. The kitchen was refinished in white Cesar stone, and outfitted with under-counter appliances. The guest bedroom can be booked separately as a 610 ft Grand Deluxe Room.
“The Peninsula Beverly Hills is my favorite hotel in Los Angeles, where I always suggest that my out-of-town guests stay,” said Corzine, who has 15 showrooms throughout the U.S. “The ambiance of the hotel is like that of an elegant and gracious home, so it is the perfect setting for my furnishings.”
