London, UK – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Serviced residences brand AKA will this October bring its fully furnished, high-design suites to London, for stays of 30 days or more. AKA West End, the first international property from the growing brand, is located at 5 Bentinck Street in the prestigious Marylebone neighborhood.
AKA West End, now accepting reservations for the October opening, will cater to business travelers, affluent international travelers and entertainment industry insiders staying in London for an extended period of time.
The 1920s property is being transformed into nine contemporary AKA residences that embrace the integrity of the original architecture and the spirit of the neighborhood. Most of the studio and one-and two-bedroom residences will occupy its own floor to provide space and anonymity.
Each suite will feature bespoke furniture—kitchens with grey lacquer cabinetry, charcoal caesarstone countertops and stainless-steel appliances, as well as full marble baths and artwork unique to each suite. Other amenities include sumptuous linens, central air conditioning, washers/dryers, complimentary Sky TV, complimentary wireless internet access and complimentary local telephone service with direct dial and personal voicemail.
AKA West End will also feature a Mews House, an exclusive two-bedroom, two-bathroom home which includes a study and private garage. This two-story residence is designed for guests seeking maximum privacy and a quiet address.
AKA West End residents can expect an interior sculpture garden, concierge services, housekeeping Monday through Friday, same-day valet dry-cleaning and laundering services, and business services. Chauffeured transportation to and from the airport will be available upon request. AKA West End is within walking distance of Mayfair, Regents Park, New Bond and Old Bond Street, as well as major underground and overground hubs.
Korman Communities Founder, Steve Korman, said, “AKA’s expansion into the UK is another strategic step in our overall vision to become a global brand with properties in world-class cities. Following suit with our West Coast expansion, launching in London enables us to meet the demand for luxury, long-stay accommodations created by financial market synergies between New York City and London.
“AKA West End will offer more than just an exclusive location. The property’s privacy, quality of finishes and custom furnishings will provide the ultimate home away from home for our residents.”
The fall opening of AKA West End comes on the heels of AKA’s expansion in the U.S. to the West Coast with the opening of AKA Beverly Hills this fall. The Korman family now owns and manages nine properties: AKA Central Park, AKA United Nations, AKA Times Square and AKA Sutton Place in New York; AKA Beverly Hills in Los Angeles; AKA Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia; AKA White House in Washington D.C.; AKA Virginia Square in Arlington, VA, and now AKA West End in London. The Kormans plan to add six-to-ten properties over the next three-to-five years.
