New York, New York – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Hublot will be joining LVMH and Parsons The New School of Design by showcasing its One Million Dollar Black Caviar watch in the well anticipated “The Art of Craftsmanship Revisited: New York”. The exhibition, which will hold a special preview on Wednesday May 26th, will be open to the public at Governors Island from June 5th through the 27th on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This exhibition seeks to celebrate the artisan tradition, whose unique designs, creativity and vision have long inspired the luxury industry. Hublot’s One Million Dollar Black Caviar, which houses a tourbillon movement, is a unique representation of the brand’s fusion between technological innovation and luxurious jewelry. It also represents a huge high-tech achievement, as it was the first watch to introduce the “invisible visibility”, a Hublot-coined term referring to completely invisible setting created to hold the black diamonds. Creating this exceptional watch demands over 2,000 hours of hands-on meticulous work and is adorned with 544 baguette black diamonds.
“We are happy to join this beautiful exhibition with our One Million Dollar Black Caviar”, says Hublot’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver. “These top artisans have a unique vision, a dream that only they are able to embody through their exceptional craft”.
Hublot is proud to support this program whose goal of promoting the work of skillful artisans and ensuring its preservation into the future truly resonates with the brand’s vision.
