On August 24th, PGA Tour professional and OMEGA Ambassador Sergio Garcia paid a visit to the watch retailer’s flagship boutique on New York’s Fifth Avenue.
In a special presentation, Garcia donated his own autographed OMEGA Mission Hills Double Eagle Chronograph Constellation timepiece to the store’s “Ambassador Collection Series,” which already includes signed watches from the likes of Michael Phelps and Buzz Aldrin. The event celebrated the store’s recent opening as well as the The Barclays tournament, where Garcia teed off last weekend.
The event also gave Garcia a chance to give back. Children from The First Tee of Metropolitan New York program were invited as special guests, while OMEGA committed to donating 15% of profits from all timepieces sold during the event to The First Tee.
The pro golfer’s six-year relationship with OMEGA is a natural fit: As the official timekeeper and sponsor for many of the world’s leading tournaments, the label has long been committed to the game of golf. Up next for Garcia—representing Spain at the 2009 OMEGA Mission Hills World Cup in November.
