New York, NY – Vilebrequin (www.vilebrequin.com), the renowned St. Tropez based men’s and boy’s swimwear manufacturer is re-opening its SoHo boutique on Saturday, November 1st after a comprehensive renovation and expansion that almost doubles its retail space.
The first retail location in Manhattan for the French Riviera retailer (opened in 1999), the Vilebrequin SoHo boutique will have 660 square-feet after expanding into adjacent space once belonging to retailer, Cecile & Jeanne. The newly renovated store features the company’s iconic men’s and boy’s swimwear and accessories and showcases a new visual merchandising concept highlighting the expanded ready-to-wear and resort collections. The boutique’s original interior design concept pairs white walls and soft lighting with sand-colored tiles reflecting the light and colors for which St. Tropez is famous. The SoHo boutique will now serve as the Vilebrequin U.S. flagship store.
For more than 30 years, Vilebrequin has created stylish men’s and boy’s swim trunks with vibrant and colorful patterns in styles from long (Okoa) to classic (Moorea). The current Vilebrequin Resort Collection features whimsical prints such as melting ice-cubs, cocktails and scuba diving frogs. For the less daring, there are swim trunks in solids, plaids, graphic prints, and florals. Prices for adult trunks range from $180-$265 depending on pattern and style. The company’s iconic matching “Father and Son” collection of swimsuits are always in style. Prices for the junior collection are from $105 – $170.
Today, the brand is a favorite among Hollywood’s elite including Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Affleck, to name just a few.
In addition to swimsuits, Vilebrequin also offers a collection of beach and resort items including men’s linen shirts and pants, t-shirts, shorts made of the finest cotton and colorful pareos for the ladies. Accessories such as plush towels, 100% cotton boxers, linen caps and stylish sunglasses complete the look.
Vilebrequin has 16 boutiques nationwide including NYC’s Madison Avenue, Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills, Worth Avenue Palm Beach and is available at retailers including Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
