Beverly Hills, California – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
On September 9th and 10th, 40 one-of-a-kind watches from the most prestigious Swiss manufacturers were exhibited at Westime Beverly Hills. The unique timepieces will be sold by auction house Antiquorum on September 23rd in the Principality of Monaco, under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. All proceeds from the auction—named ONLY WATCH–will be donated to support Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.
In advance of the September 23rd auction, Antiquorum Managing Director Julien Schaerer is escorting the 40 timepieces on a world tour that includes appearances in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Milan and Geneva. The two-day exhibit at Westime marked the collection’s only appearance on the West Coast. The public viewed the ONLY WATCH timepieces from 10 am to 6 pm each day, while VIP guests attended invitation-only receptions among the watches on both evenings.
The ONLY WATCH charity auction takes place every other year. After the 2009 edition, 2.5 million euros were donated to scientific partners in five countries who are leading the fight against the disease. The “wish” prices for this year’s 40 auction lots range from 8,000 to 650,000 euros.
