The beauty of chartering a yacht is that you really can have it all.
Embarking at the Côte d’Azur means an easy flight and transfer and access to some of the most iconic ports in the world. Just as you tire of the whirl of restaurants, shopping and beach bars, a short overnight cruise will take you to the beautiful island of Corsica where the island’s coastline changes from rugged mountains to rocky cliffs and wild beaches. Step ashore in Calvi for fresh seafood at Bout du Monde followed by drinks at Chez Tao. Just 27 nautical miles south is the pretty fishing village of Girolata. Visit in the early evening and watch the sun set over the red cliffs.
At the southern tip of Corsica, the perilously-perched Bonifacio offers more sophistication. Cantilevered out of the limestone cliff, the town overlooks the cafe-lined harbor below. The southern coastline of Corsica is dotted with beaches with impossibly blue water, and the nearby Îles Lavezzi is the perfect place to relax and unwind. From here, cruise into Italian waters and spend a peaceful night’s anchorage at the beautiful Maddalena Islands before you step ashore to the hustle and bustle of Porto Cervo on Sardinia.Priestley YCO

Bonifacio, Corse-Du-Sud The medieval old town of Bonifacio is the oldest and perhaps the most stunningly beautiful town in Corsica.
When approached from the sea it is awe inspiring and a vision to behold. Perched above the natural harbor on the site of a 9th century citadel, the old town sits in a spectacular setting atop whitewashed limestone cliffs. From the port, take a walk up the Escalier du Roi d’Aragon (King of Aragon’s Steps), the 187 stairs that lead up to the haute ville. Enjoy your day strolling the cobbled streets and back alleys while shopping and dining. For a bit more adventure take a boat ride to the caves or a walk through the tunnel inside the citadel walls. Evenings come alive along the waterfront with seaside dining and late night bars along the Caveau. Bonifacio is one of the most memorable ports I have visited in the Western Mediterranean.
