Situated in the heart of the beautifully historic Ribeira Sacra region of Galicia, amid an evocative landscape of deep canyons, riverbanks and vineyards, what is today the luxurious five-star Hotel Palacio de Sober was once the ruins of the Count of Lemos’ Palace—Galicia’s oldest civil building, whose tower dates back to the seventh century.

Dona Branca: Located in what used to be the palace’s stables, Dona Branca’s interiors have been immaculately renovated to create a refined space with every detail catered to.

Under the direction of prestigious chef marco Varela—recently named the third best chef in Spain for 2011—Palacio de sober’s signature restaurant offers authentic Galician fare with a creative twist. seasonal menus feature the freshest of local produce and high-quality ingredients, while presentations are refreshing and contemporary.



Located just 10 minutes from the hotel, the 18-hole Aguas Santas golf course is easily accessible for guests looking to enjoy a day on the green.
