The Peninsula Suite at The Peninsula Chicago has undergone an extensive renovation to cement its position as the Windy City’s most luxurious accommodation.
This 3,600-sq-ft space has emerged with a fresh look and feel just in time for the holiday season and is the perfect place for families to enjoy a special, festive staycation with ample space and privacy. The entire space is now ultra-modern with contemporary design features throughout. As well as the decor, the in-suite technology is now state-of-the-art and includes two 85-inch TVs.
The one master bedroom suite can be connected to two additional guest rooms to make it one of the most expansive suites in Chicago. Particularly useful for Thanksgiving escapes, it offers private dining space for up to 10 people in a luxurious room illuminated by a Murano glass chandelier. It is also the only suite in the city with a 2,000 sq ft wraparound terrace. Situated high on the 18th floor, the terrace offers extraordinary views of Lake Michigan and the iconic Chicago skyline.
Designed with the workation in mind, particular attention has been paid to the suite’s study. The hotel commissioned a bespoke leather desk for the space, making it an enticing place for those who want a home office away from home. The office also comes with everything one would need to run their business away from home, including complimentary international calls and an on-site tech team to assist with any issues.
Speaking of the unveiling, general manager Maria Zec said: “I love the natural light that flows into the suite and expansive windows that pull in the beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The flow of the suite moves seamlessly from a stunning living room with baby grand piano, to the more intimate private living room and study. Many of the rooms incorporate handcrafted artistry including the dining room walls, the headboard in the master bedroom, and the gorgeous onyx master bath with decorative glass cabinetry. Also, having two 85” TVs is a winner for my husband.”
